Frequently Asked Questions 

Q. Can I sit with my friends/colleagues?

Yes. You can book a table of either 10 or 12 guests when you book online and fill in each attendee name on the online form. We cannot accommodate more than 12 to a table.

For smaller numbers of people who wish to sit together, please email us directly at friends@ladybarnhouse.org with your request, stating all relevant names. 

For those paying separately, but wishing to be seated together, please pay individually and send the full table name list to friends@ladybarnhouse.org by January 31st 2025. After this date we cannot guarantee table allocations. 

For those buying tickets singularly, we will try to match solo and couple attendees with others from their year group. Any individual requests to sit together should be emailed to us by January 31st 2025.

Q. Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Yes, there will be catering for all dietary requirements. Please notify us. 

Q. Do you have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages?

Yes, there is a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Q. Who will be attending the event?

Our Fundraising Ball is a celebration of community spirit. It is also a charity event raising money for our Bursary appeal. The event is open to all who wish to celebrate with us.

Q. What are you fundraising for?

All donations are added to the money invested annually by the school to provide financial support for pupils in the form of our Beyond Learning Bursary Fund. For more information, please visit Bursary Fund | Lady Barn House School (friendsofladybarn.co.uk)

Doors open 6:30pm

Seats 7pm

Carriages 1:00am

Q. What is the dress code?

Our theme is Great Gatsby, so we also encourage guests to dress in 1920’s attire. Alternatively, black-tie evening wear is also appropriate to ensure everyone feels comfortable. 

Q. Is there parking?

There is onsite parking available.

Q. Is there accommodation?

Attendees of the Ball will be given an exclusive reduced rate bed and breakfast at Mottram Hall. Please book at your earliest opportunity as rooms are limited. Guests should book their own rooms directly with the hotel.

£150 B&B single occupancy; £165 B&B double occupancy (incl. vat).

Q. What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, as this is a charity event, we will not be able to offer cancellation refunds for any reason outside of the 14-day cooling off period, which is effective from the date of booking.
